The Crimea Day was marked in Helsinki with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, the Finnish Society of Ukrainians and the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, as part of the Crimea's Day, the film "Crimea. The Resistance" about the events of Russian occupation of the peninsula in February 2014 and three short films directed by young Crimean Nariman Aliyev were shown in Helsinki, UNN reports.

As noted, the event was attended by diplomats, representatives of the local community and the Ukrainian community in Finland.

During a Skype conference with the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, the topics of harassment of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians on the peninsula, as well as the ways of returning Crimea under the control of Ukraine were discussed at the event.
