According to the festival volunteer, “Mustafa” movie was removed from the screening without explanation in Moscow October cinema. It was to be shown in the framework of “Artdocfest” festival.

“This film retrospective shows his life and struggle. It has nothing to do with current events,” Aleksandra, festival volunteer expressed her outrage.

Vitaly Mansky, the Head of the “Artdocfest” festival stated that the organizers were not provided with any documents and justifications for this decision. He described the situation as "lawlessness".

Earlier, "Mustafa" movie tells the facts about the life of Mustafa Dzhemilev, national leader of the Crimean Tatar people and reveals his character through the prism of numerous interviews with human rights defenders and dissidents in five countries of the world.

The premier of the film was held on October 28, 2016 in Kyiv.
