Lawyer Mark Feigin urged activists around the world to take to the streets on September 3 for the rally of solidarity with the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov, who has already been confined in Simferopol psychiatric hospital for thirteen days for an involuntary psychiatric evaluation, according to the lawyer’s Twitter account.
Feigin said that there is no other way to release Umerov from the psychiatric hospital before September 7.
“We call to take to the streets on Saturday, September 3, 2016, for the rally of solidarity with Ilmi Umerov #StopKillingIlmiUmerov,” the lawyer tweeted.
Earlier, the US State Department made an official statement on the release of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov, illegally confined in a psychiatric hospital.
