Head of the Crimean Tatar Community in Eskisehir, a member of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, Evren Oldzhay greeted the meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars. He congratulated everyone on the opening of the Congress of the WCCT Executive Committee and once again said that the Crimean Tatars in Turkey support their people who currently cannot live in Crimea due to the occupation.
- We try to do everything possible to support our compatriots. It is a great pity that today we do not have one of our people with us that is Erwin Ibragimov, said Evren Oldzhay.
The Head of Odunbazary District in Eskisehir and the Head of Tepebashi District in Eskişehir also greeted all those present. The Head of Tepebashi District said that they are friends and brothers with the city of Simferopol. They had very close ties since a large number of Crimean Tatars live in Turkey. He also said that in the near future the city of Eskisehir will launch a park named after Mustafa Dzhemilev.
Every time we are talking about Crimea, we always talk about the illegal occupation. But, in our opinion, many countries have not joined the protest due to the gas dependence on Russia. But it should not be so, and this cannot be accepted. I saw our compatriots in Crimea and Simferopol and other Crimean cities. Our country is really very beautiful. The day will come when everything will be restored and fall into place, said the Head of Tepebashi District in the city of Eskişehir.
The meeting also heard the greetings from Devlet Bahceli, leader of the MHP Party in Turkey, which was read out by Rukhsara Demirel, the MHP leader in Eskisehir. In her speech, she also recalled Erwin Ibragimov.
- We were together in Lithuania, had the same tasks. Now he is not with us. The same horror we experienced a few weeks ago in Turkey - the people we knew, we shared the work and life with, have appeared to be very different and tried to infringe on our right to be a democratic country. Therefore democratic rights - this is what is necessary for all of us, regardless of the country. I want us to live in democratic countries and I want the number of people at our meetings not to decrease, but rather increase. I want Erwin Ibragimov, Ahtem Chiygoz, and all the rest of our comrades to join us, said Demirel.
