The "Prosecutor’s Office" of annexed Crimea has launched a preliminary investigation into the creation of the Crimean Tatar Battalion "Asker," said the so-called Crimea’s "Prosecutor" Natalia Poklonskaya as cited by RIA Novosti.

She stated the materials will be attached to a criminal case launched over the formation of the volunteer battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan.

- The creation and operation of similar units is being checked. If the evidence is collected, the preliminary investigation bodies will take relevant decisions, said Poklonskaya.

Reminder: the activists of the "Asker" Civil Organization, who arranged the blockade of Russia-annexed Crimea, as of now will control the border guards pending the arrival of the international observers, according to Gulnara Bekirova, Deputy Head of the State Administration in the city of Henichesk.
