The Head of the State Committee on Nationalities of Crimea held a meeting with the leaders of the Regional National and Cultural Community of Estonians in Crimea, press service of the agency reports. They discussed the termination of the relationship and aid from Estonia.

Olga Skripchenko, Head of the Estonian Community in Crimea, stated that "for the last two years, the Estonian authorities have stopped contacts with the Estonian Community in Crimea and assistance in the development of ethnic culture and preservation of the Estonian language."

For his part, Zaur Smirnov, Head of the State Committee on Nationalities of Crimea, put the blame on the Western sanctions.

However, there is no confirmation of the information from independent sources.

It is worth noting that Estonian authorities have never recognized the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
