October 22, 2017 in the village of Stroganovka in the occupied Crimea, wives of political prisoners organized a dua (prayer). Relatives, friends, activists and all those who care about the Crimean Tatar people and Muslims took part in it.

Reference:  During October, the occupation authorities of the Crimea launched another wave of repression against Crimean Tatars, in particular, participants in public organization Crimean solidarity.

On October 11, occupants were massively conducting searches and detentions in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchysarai from the early morning.

Later, the Kremlin-controlled Simferopol court has chosen a measure of restraint for all six Crimean Tatars, who were searched on October 11. The activists were arrested for two months.

During October 14, a minimum of 34 people were detained in the Crimea for taking part in solitary pickets against repression by Russian security forces against Crimean Tatars. In total, more than 100 people took part in single pickets in the occupied peninsula.

Throughout the Crimea, activists came out with posters: "Crimean Tatars are not terrorists", "Stop the lawlessness of security officials in the Crimea", "Freedom to political prisoners", etc.

QHA reported that the Crimean Tatar diaspora in New York urged the international community to take measures to release the Deputy Chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov and Akhtem Chyigoz.
