The city of Dnipro broke off relationship with the Russian cities of Samara, Krasnoyarsk and Ulan-Ude, the Mayor Boris Filatov reported on Facebook.
Our city broke off "twin-city" relationship with the Russian cities. In particular, we have ceased cooperation with the cities of Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, Samara. Dnipro is also no longer involved in the Association of Legal Entities "Eurasian Union of twin cities" Ukraine-Baikal ", said a statement.
The Mayor went on to say that the Dnipropetrovsk City Council has been officially renamed into the Dnipro City Council.
May 19, 2016 within the framework of decommunisation the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine renamed the city of Dnepropetrovsk into Dnipro.
