Director of BTI paid himself a bonus of RUB 700 thousand

In Sevastopol, the former CEO of BTI (Technical Inventory Bureau) is due to face trial on charges of misappropriation of property entrusted to him.

Information about the incident appeared on the website of ‘The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the city of Sevastopol.’

“The investigation into the criminal case against the former CEO of the Technical Inventory Bureau state unitary enterprise has been completed. He is accused of misappropriation of the entrusted large scale property using his official position,” says the report.

According to the agency, the crime was revealed in cooperation with the government of the city of Sevastopol.

“The investigation established that the CEO of the Technical Inventory Bureau state unitary enterprise took an illegal decision on paying himself bonuses for personal gain and in violation of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The official instructed to charge almost RUB 700 thousand for his own enrichment from February to June 2015. He used money at his sole discretion and caused damage to the budget of the city of Sevastopol and the enterprise,” reads the statement.

According to the investigation, a sufficient evidence base was collected, and the criminal case with approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
