BAKHCHISARAI (QHA) -

Questioning of Mustafa Mustafayev and Asan Dzhemilev, a 80-year-old brother of Mustafa Dzhemilev, finished in the annexed Crimea, according to the Deputy Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov.

He informed that Mustafayev and Dzhemilev were interrogated on preparations for the Muslim holidays in the 6th district of Bakhchisarai in the years 2013 and 2015.

“Our assumptions about the reasons for today's interrogation: FSB seeks witnesses for the prosecution against the so-called Bakhchsarai Four in "Hizb-ut-Tahrir" case,” Umerov stated.

According to him, during the interrogation, the Crimean Tatars were showed videos which captured the moments of small conflicts that occurred at the mentioned events. These were conflicts due to disagreements between the event organizers and local activists regarding the placement of the guests, the separation of men and women, the dates and the like.

“In general, no kind of things to face imprisonment for, because no terrorists and no extremists have ever been among our ranks! Whatever these disagreements are, it is our internal affairs, and in the face of common danger and repression all other issues fade into the background and we all stand together!” The Deputy Head of the Mejlis pointed.

He went on saying that in total five residents of the 6th district of Bakhchisarai were questioned, they are Musa Tatarov, Mustafa Mustafayev, Asan Dzhemilev, Ebazer Abibullayev and Ismail Ablaev.

Earlier QHA reported that morning the elder brother of Mustafa Dzhemilev Asan received a summons, under which he was to appear in the Bakhchsarai department of the FSB for questioning as a witness.

February 17, the Kremlin-controlled Supreme Court of the Crimea is to consider appeals against the extension of arrest for Muslim Aliev, Emir Usein-Kuku and Vadim SIruk. The appeal by the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov against the decision of the court to extend the detention of persons involved in the "Yalta Four" is to be considered as well.
