Depeche Mode has cancelled its performance in Kyiv scheduled for February 26, a statement posted on the British Band's web site reads, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Depeche Mode regretfully announces that due to the current civil unrest and instability in Kyiv and the whole of Ukraine, the concert scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv has been cancelled," the statement reads.
"The safety and security of the band, crew and fans is our highest priority, and at this time it is not possible to ensure a safe and enjoyable concert experience for everyone involved," the band said.
People who have bought tickets should seek refunds from ticketing vendors, the statement reads.
"The band's thoughts are with the Ukrainians during this challenging period and they sincerely look forward to the next time they can perform for the fans in Kiev and Ukraine," it reads.
