Today, on November 25, Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-33, the artificially created Famine. 
Memorable events are traditionally held on the fourth Saturday of November. In Kyiv the events are held near the monument to the victims of the Holodomor.

His Holiness Patriarch of Kyiv and All-Russia-Ukraine Filaret began the service for the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymir Groysman and other officials came to the monument to the victims of the Holodomor.

Petro Poroshenko in his speech called on the law to punish those who deny the fact of Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Yesterday, on November 24, a round table was held in the Turkish capital of Ankara, organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey, on the theme "Tragic pages of the history of Ukraine in 1932-1933", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine.
In Westminster, special parliamentary hearings were held on this matter. Pauline Latam, an MP from the ruling Conservative Party, took the initiative to recognize the Holodomor as genocide. The British Foreign Office reported that the government decided not to change its position according to which the term "genocide" London officially applies to crimes in Srebrenica, Rwanda, and also in relation to the Holocaust
