Crimeans may participate in training in Georgia

SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - In the framework of the international project Gender Equality Creators, Georgian town Kobuleti will host a training course for young leaders to fight against gender-based discrimination and violence, which will be held from 21 to 29 September 2013. This was announced by project partners- Center for Regional Development “Top Kaya” and initiative group “Orchid”, which accept applications for participation. The training is organized by the European program ‘Youth in Action’. The special focus of the training will be paid to development of various concepts related to gender issues, especially gender-based discrimination and violence, discussion of issues of gender inequality in different countries alongside creating partnerships and general ideas of the project. The project will last for 7 days, and will bring together 30 participants who are motivated to learn and work on issues of gender equality from different countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Italy, Malta, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova). Participants are provided with accommodation and meals during the project and are also reimbursed 70% of the travel cost. Application forms can be downloaded at: and are accepted till August 7, 2013.
