Crimean tried to get to mainland Ukraine across Sivash lake

According to a resident of town of Dzhankoy, he easily got past the occupation military to the mainland Ukraine.

September 12, Berdyansk detachment border guards, serving near the village of Sivash, detained a man who was crossing the administrative border with the annexed Crimea beyond checkpoints, according to the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU).

"Having problems with documents, a resident of the settlement Dzhankoy, decided to get to the mainland Ukraine bypassing the Chongar checkpoint wading across Sivash lake in the vicinity of the railway bridge. However, after coming out of the water he was immediately detained by the Ukrainian border guards. According to the man, he was going to his wife and easily got past the occupation military to the mainland Ukraine," reads the statement.

Following that the administrative record on the man violating border crossing was compiled in accordance with established procedure.
