Several hundred activists and participants of the Crimean Civil Blockade are carrying the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar flags to the Russian checkpoint. The column is led by a leader of the Crimean Civil Blockade Lenur Islyamov and Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Refat Chubarov.
According to a QHA correspondent, the activists have already entered a gray area near the Russian checkpoint at Chongar. They chant "Millett Tatars of Crimea", "Glory to Ukraine – Glory to Heroes!", "Takbir Allahu Akbar!"
The march is held to the traditional Crimean Tatar music and the national anthem of Ukraine.
Refat Chubarov was the first to speak.
Russian invaders, pack your bags today. Those who came to the Crimea after the invasion of Russian troops, you will never live there. You came at night, as criminals, and waited until the military on APCs will take Crimea. Bandits of the FSB, the prosecutor's office, Investigative Committee came to the Ukrainian Crimea - they will be no mercy, the international court will find them. Our efforts will create intolerable conditions for those who in the 21 century break into someone else's house, said Chubarov and added that soon the Crimean Tatar flag will be unfurled over Chater-Doug.
Russian journalists, propagandists and operators are sitting on the armored vehicles and watching the happenings.
September 20, 2015 the Crimean Tatars began a not limited in time campaign to block the trucks carrying products and goods to the Crimea.
The economic blockade was the first stage of resistance. The Crimean blockade envisaged several stages of isolation: food, power and marine. The blockade of the Kerch ferry was to become the third phase. The protesters’ aim is to isolate the Crimea and then return it to Ukraine.
