The youth in the Turkish Istanbul joined the activities held in Ukraine due to the Crimean Tatar National Flag Day.

The Youth Culture Association made its contribution to the celebration of June, 26 having prepared in advance various banners, car stickers and small brochures on the history of the Crimean Tatar National Flag Day. Following that, the Association members distributed them to the Istanbul residents in different areas of the city thereby giving them an opportunity to see the Crimean Tatar flag almost everywhere.

This campaign also helped to increase the level of public awareness not only on the issues of Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people, but on the continuing Russia’s occupation and oppressions of the Crimean indigenous people as well.

The Day of the Crimean Tatar national flag is celebrated on June, 26. The events have been held in the cities of Kiev, Kharkov and in Genichesk Area, Kherson region. Some activities have been planned to be held in Crimea should they not be disrupted by the occupation authorities.
