According to a decision taken at a meeting of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Kyiv, on behalf of the members of the Platform of the Crimean Tatar organizations in Turkey, the Crimean civil blockade was visited by a delegation headed by Ümit Shilitom, the Deputy Head of the Crimean Tatar World Congress (CTWC) and the Head of the Fund for Crimean Development in Turkey.
The delegation also included Recep Sheng, the Chairman of the Crimean Research and Sporty Youth Association, Shukruy One (Bursa) and Erol Gunaydin (Canakkale), Branch Chairmen of the Association on Crimea Tatar Mutual Aid and Development in Turkey and Hassan Kyrymer, a Board member of the Fund for Crimean Development in Turkey.
After the CTWC meeting, the Fund for Crimean Development in Turkey organized a fundraiser among the Crimean Tatar Diaspora members for blockade volunteers, as well as worked on a list of items needed, which was handed over by Refat Chubarov, the CTWC Head. As a result, the diaspora handed the blockade organizers 250 jackets, 250 caps and 250 pairs of boots made to order. All this clothing and footwear are the help provided by the Crimea Tatar diaspora.
The next CTWC Board meeting for support of the Crimean civil blockade is to be held in January in the city of Kherson. Except of Board members and the audit committee, it will be attended by representatives of the Crimean Tatar organizations in Turkey.
