The activist of the Crimean Tatar national movement Riza Abdullaev died on April 17, after a long illness, the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Ilmi Umerov reported on his Facebook page.

He noted that on September 5 Abdullaev would've turned 80 years old.

“Today, after a serious long illness, a famous activist of the Crimean Tatar national movement Riza Abdullayev died. September 5, he would have turned 80 years old. The funeral will be held on April 18 at 14.00 in Bakhchysarai, 34, Gasprinsky Street,” he wrote.

Earlier, in Moscow the well-known historian Murad Adzhiev, better known as Murad Aci died at the age of 75 after a severe long illness. The Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, People's Deputy of Ukraine Refat Chubarov expressed condolences on his Facebook page in connection with the demise of the historian.
