Mosque in Novopokrovka settlement of Kirovskiy district of Crimea will be named after the deceased head of the branch of Association for culture and mutual assistance of Crimean Tatars in Bursa (Turkey) Adnan Suyen. Such decision was made by the Committee of Muslims of Crimea, informs press service of the Committee.
As we reported, Adnan Suyen passed away on January 5, 2014 due to heart attack. He was 59 years old.
The initiative to build a mosque in Novopokrovka belonged to Adnan Suyen; Association for culture and mutual assistance of Crimean Tatars in Bursa allocated funding for it.
Construction of the mosque began in December 2013.
In gratitude to Adnan Suyen, local Muslim community and representatives of Crimean Tatar diaspora in Bursa appealed to Crimean Muftiat to name the future mosque after Andan Suyen.
The mosque in Novopokrovka will occupy 80 square meters and will be able to receive 80-100 people at once.
The doors of the mosque will open next year on Kurban Bayram holiday.
