Crimean court has dismissed a lawsuit of Talyat Yunusov, arrested for participation in pro-Ukrainian rally, which took place more than a year ago.

Yunusov’s lawyer Dzhemil Temishev said to QHA correspondent.

Police arrested him March 11, saying he was suspected of assaulting a man during a clash pitting Crimean Tatars and other pro-Ukrainian activists against pro-Russian activists near the regional parliament on February 26, 2014.

Thousands of Crimean Tatars gathered at the building of Crimean Parliament Feb 26, to show their support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Armed men in unmarked uniforms seized the parliament building the following day, and Crimea unified with Russia following March 16 referendum dismissed by Kyiv and the West as illegitimate.
