Crimean authorities staged ‘window dressing’ for OSCE

In Simferopol, at some schools pupils were asked to ostentatiously come in embroidered shirts to throw dust in the eyes of the OSCE representatives.

On Monday, the OSCE representatives were to visit the school №29 and №42 in the city of Simferopol to see the development of Ukrainian and Tatar languages, Eksender Bariev wrote on Facebook.

- Children who were fully deprived of an opportunity to learn the Ukrainian language were forced over a week to learn by heart poems and songs for a ‘window dressing’. They were even told to come in embroidered shirts, according to a Mejlis member.
