The "authorities" in annexed Crimea advise the residents of the peninsula to purchase firewood now, without waiting for an excessive demand. According to the “Deputy Head” of the peninsula Nikolai Janaki, one need to prepare for the winter season in summer, LB.ua reports.
“The government has urged Crimean residents to begin buying firewood in the shortest possible time and not expect excessive demand,” said Nikolai Janaki.
The appropriate instructions for firewood purchase have already been given.
“I have instructed the municipalities to provide, until July 1, the information on schools, kindergartens, hospitals and rural health posts, which are heated with wood, so that they can start purchasing solid fuel even now,” said the “Deputy Head” of the peninsula.
Since the winter of 2015, wood has become a scarce commodity in Russian-annexed Crimea. People – in order to buy firewood - were put on the waiting list until 2017. Following that, the occupation authorities urged the residents of Crimea as far as possible to limit the purchase of firewood or use coal.
