CHONGAR (QHA) -

The Crimean Tatars are holding a campaign at the administrative border with the annexed Crimea. The campaign is dedicated to the first anniversary of the Civil blockade of the annexed Crimea.

The Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov was the first to give a speech and put emphasis on the rapid return of the temporarily occupied Crimea under Ukraine’s sovereignty.

We do not wish ill on to those who now lives in the Crimea. But those who collaborated with the occupiers and helped them in the invasion should think now how to leave the Crimea and go to Russia. As of today, they should set up their homes there, said Chubarov.

According to him, close to 4000-5000 collaborators cooperated with the Russian military during the annexation of the Crimea in 2014.

Chubarov also thanked all the participants of the Civil blockade who in September last year blocked the movement of the trucks to Crimea.

They have held out in September, October, November, December and January. Five months were needed in order that Ukraine finally joined the sanctions imposed by the whole world, said the Mejlis Chairman.

Today, a few hundred activists and participants of the Crimean Civil blockade have brought the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar flags to the Russian checkpoint.

The column is led by a leader of the Crimean Civil Blockade Lenur Islyamov and Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Refat Chubarov.
