Prayer services will be held outside the houses of defendants in the so-called "Hizb ut-Tahrir" case - Zevri Abseitov, Rustem Abiltarov, Remzi Memetov and Enver Mamutov - in Bakhchysarai on July 2- 3, according to the Crimean Political Prisoners Group.
“On July 2, a du'a (prayer) will be held outside the houses of political prisoners Enver Mamutov, Rustem Abiltarov and Zevri Abseitov at the address: 33a, Gordienko Str., 5th district, Bakhchysarai. The du'a will begin at 7pm. On July 3, a du'a will be held outside Remzi Memetov’s house: 7, Lazurnaya Str., 5th district, Bakhchysarai. The prayer will start at 7pm, says the message.
After the du'a, all guests are invited to the Iftar in the courtyard of the mosque in the 6th district.
May 24, Kremlin-controlled Crimean Supreme Court upheld the detention of four defendants in the "Hizb ut-Tahrir" case in Bakhchysarai. A decision on their arrest will remain in force until July11; the judges dismissed the lawyers’ appeal.
Earlier, the Crimean Tatars performed a prayer service outside the house of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz, arrested in the February 26 case.
On June 19, in Bakhchysarai, the Muslims also held a prayer service in honor of Ervin Ibragimov, a missing member of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars.
