Lawyers ascertain increase in the rate of punitive medicine against Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea, lawyer Emil Kurbedinov stated in his video message.

“Muslum Aliyev is the second Crimean Tatar, who was confined for involuntary psychiatric examination. We think this is not the last case, when people are being confined in psychiatric hospitals for their dissenting views,” he said.

The lawyer also urged all people, being not indifferent to the problem of the Crimean Muslims, to monitor the situation and highlight it as much as possible.

“Having expressed solidarity with Ilmi Umerov in protest for illegal criminal prosecution, six political prisoners face confinement in psychiatric hospital. We note the increase in the rate of punitive medicine in relation to the Crimean Tatars,” wrote Emil Kurbedinov in his comments to the video message.
