Crimea honors memory of Noman Çelebicihan

Dua (prayers) will be held at the mosques of the peninsula. Yevpatoria will host an Open Championship among men and boys in kuresh national wrestling dedicated to the memorable date.

On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the death of Noman Çelebicihan, the first Mufti of Crimea, Poland, Lithuania and Belarus, and a prominent state leader, dua (prayers) will be held at the mosques of Crimea on February 23.

The public prayers will begin at 6:30 p.m. (after the evening/akşam prayer), press service of the Crimean Mufti reports. 

On this day, a commemorative event with public prayer will begin at Kebir-Jami, the central mosque of Simferopol, at 6:00 p.m. Historians, religious and public figures are expected to participate in this event were a short video documentary about the life and activity of Noman Çelebicihan will be shown. 

In addition, the 6th Open Championship of the Republic of Crimea among men and boys in kuresh national wrestling will be held in Yalta on February 23 (beginning at 11:00 a.m). Venue of the tournament: National Center for Paralympic and Deaflympic Training and Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (1, Druzhby Ave., Zaozernoe village, Yevpatoriya city).
