Crimea commemorates shot Jews and Crimeans

The participants laid flowers at the memorial sign and lit candles.

A memorial meeting and ceremony commemorating the dead civilians was held at the 10th km of a highway Simferopol - Feodosiya - a place of mass execution of Jews and Crimeans by the Nazis in 1941-1942.

The event was attended by representatives of the Crimean government, the clergy, the national communities and the public, reported the press service of the Russian State Council in Crimea.

Rally participants laid flowers to the memorial sign to Jews and Crimeans killed by fascists and lit candles in memory of the victims of Nazism.

14,000 Jews and Krymchaks were shot from 9 to 13 December 1941 outside the city of Simferopol.
