The Ukrainian border guards congratulate the traveling people on the 25th anniversary of Ukrainian’s Independence at the administrative border with the occupied Crimea. This event has been held for the second year, according to the press service of the Ukrainian State Border Guard.
The border guards and representatives of the Kherson regional state administration meet all the travelers with Ukrainian flags and symbols. They also give greeting cards with best wishes.
“The 25th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence is a remarkable event in the history of our country, so people who live in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, should feel that they are also part of our state. Today they have a holiday too,” said the chief of the Azov-Black Sea regional administration Colonel Andrei Valchuk.
The action is conducted in support of the Crimeans who are not allowed to celebrate the Ukrainian holidays on the occupied peninsula.
Reportedly, the border guards at all the checkpoints of the state border congratulate people on the Ukraine's Independence Day.
