Crimea residents were refused to conduct meeting dedicated to All-European Day of victims of Stalinism and Nazism, scheduled for August 23. The meeting was arranged annually by Crimean NGOs with a support of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people.
Simferopol city administration rejected an appeal to conduct the meeting “over hot weather” and recommended to conduct the event in the building.
Meanwhile, Russian Flag Day was marked at the central Lenin square in Simferopol August 22.
To recall, Crimean Tatars were refused to conduct Crimean Tatar Flag Day and mourning meeting dedicated to Crimean deportation of 1944.
