Occupation "court" ignored a number of motions by the defense of the Crimean Tatar activist Seyran Saliev and tentatively upheld decision on his administrative detention, lawyer of the Crimean Tatar Rustem Kamil informed on Facebook.
Thus, the "judge" dismissed a complaint about absence of the prisoner in the courtroom, and against the incompetence of the "Bakhchsarai Court" decision on the activist due to the lack of essential elements of offence.
Following the meeting, "The Supreme Court of the Crimea" upheld unlawful decision of "Bakhchsarai court" on Saliev, according to activist Nazim Sheihmambetov.
“The Court did not grant the complaint of the defense and upheld the decision of the Bakhchsarai court on the arrest of Saliev for 12 days.”
Earlier QHA reported that the Crimean Tatar activist Seyran Saliyev is charged under two articles of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation
He is charged under Article 20.29 of the Administrative Code of Russia – Distributing of extremist materials, and Article 20.3 - Propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations, or other paraphernalia or symbols, propaganda or public demonstration of which is prohibited by federal laws. Seyran Saliev was convicted and arrested for 12 days under decision of "judges".
