The Head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Refat Chubarov has expressed his condolences to the relatives and colleagues of the deceased journalist Pavel Sheremet, who was killed in a deliberate car explosion.
“I was not familiar with Pavel Sheremet, but since the 90s, I have had a particular confidence in his journalistic activity. In the past two years, we had a few short meetings sharing our views on the Crimea occupied by Russia. He was a kind, thoughtful and wise companion. People like him have underwent ordeals and feel empathy for others. I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Pavel Sheremet,” Chubarov wrote on his Facebook page.
Just a reminder: on July 20, at 7.45 am, Pavel Sheremet - working as a journalist in Ukrainska Pravda edition and as a host on Radio.Vesti – was killed in a car explosion at the intersection of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Ivan Franko Streets in Kyiv.
