The trial of Ahtem Chiygoz, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, as well as activists of the Crimean Tatar National Movement over the ‘case on February 26’ is currently being held at the Supreme Court of Crimea in Simferopol. For the time being, the change of restraint measure for Mustafa Degermendzhy is under discussion there.

Today, the Supreme Court is to consider the cases of 5 defendants, namely Ahtem Chiygoz, Mustafa Degermendzhy, Eskender Emirvaliev, Arsen Yunusov and Ali Osmanov.

The case of another defendant Talat Yunusov is considering at the Central District Court of Simferopol.

It was reported earlier that a rally in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine was held outside the Crimean Parliament on February 26, 2014. At the same time, there was held a pro-Russian rally led by Sergei Aksenov, the then-head of the Russian Unity party.
