Cathedral mosque to open in Crimea

Cathedral mosque to open in Crimean village Korbek, Alushta rayon June 20, Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea announced.

The two-stored mosque, built in modern Oriental style, accommodates 500 people. There are also rooms for classes, canteen and other rooms.

The mosque have been being built since 2013, local residents bought the land plot for their own funds.  

The construction of the mosque was sponsored by grand son of local imam of Devlet-haji Islam mosque. The imam lived there till 1933, and then leaved for Turkey amid the repressions.
