KYIV (QHA) -

Canadian Ambassador in Ukraine Roman Vashchuk said that Canada will study the success of the introduction of visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union for further consideration of the possible simplification of the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens, the UNIAN correspondent reports.

"It seems to me that third countries, such as Canada, should take a closer look at the introduction and success of visa-free regime, and then we will be able to adjust our approach," Vashchuk said.

Earlier, on April 6, the European Parliament supported granting of visa-free travelling to the EU countries for Ukraine, and on April 26 the procedure was confirmed by the EU ambassadors. The official signing ceremony was held on May 17 in Strasbourg. President Petro Poroshenko led Ukrainian delegation.
