One of the suspects in the commission of terrorist acts was arrested in Brussels on March 22, BBC reports citing Belgian media.
Najim Laachraoui, 25, spotted on surveillance cameras at the Zaventem airport, was detained in the Anderlecht district of Brussels.
Two explosions were reported to have occurred at Brussels’ Zaventem airport at 8 a.m. local time on March 22.
Two more explosions were reported at Brussels' two subway stations, not far from a neighborhood where emigrants reside.
The Belgian government has officially recognized the attacks as act of terrorism, which left 31 people killed and over 250 injured.
It was reported earlier that Belgian police identified the terrorists responsible for a terror attack at Brussels airport as Khalid and Ibrahim el Bakraui brothers, both Belgian nationals. Brussels police later identified the third terrorist Najim Laachraoui, 25, who was put on the wanted list as early as on Monday, March 21.
