Border guards expect provocations at Crimean border

Russian special services can stage provocations during the rally of the Crimean Tatars on September 24.

Ukrainian border guards speak about possible provocations during the Crimean Tatars’ rally to the anniversary of the Crimean Civil blockade, reported the Head of the State Border Service Assistant, a Department Spokesman Oleg Slobodyan at a press briefing on Friday. The rally is scheduled on September 24

“The Ukrainian border guards recorded the presence of Russian intelligence using helicopters and Lynx balloons at the border. Allegedly, Russian intelligence monitors of the situation in the area of the main entry / exit checkpoints at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea on the eve of the anniversary of the Crimean Civil blockade,” Slobodyan said.

A spokesman for the State Border Service said that the Russian secret services used Lynx balloons in provocative actions related to the search of the "Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group."
