Gulnara Bekirova, initiator of the ATR TV Project "Tarikh sedasy" told the attendees how Noman Çelebicihan’s views on Crimean state structure, reported a QHA newsman.
- Noman Çelebicihan dreamed of a confederation. This state structure could have made Crimea like Switzerland. Those who visited Switzerland know what I'm talking about - absolutely comfortable country where everything is for people. I'm sure that if at that time Noman Çelebicihan and his associates had managed to do it, then we could have lived in other Ukraine, and, of course, in other Crimea, said the historian.
Noman Çelebicihan was the first Chairman of the Crimean People's Republic and the first Mufti of Muslims of Crimea, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus. He is also known for his work Ant etkenmen, which became the National Anthem of the Crimean Tatars.
Noman Çelebicihan became victim of Bolshevik repressions against the Crimean Tatar people. January 26, 1918 he was arrested and February 23, 1918 after brutal tortures drunken Russian Bolsheviks extrajudicially executed the national mastermind. His body was cut and thrown into the sea
