Lawyer Edem Semedlyaev informed that Bekir Degermendzhi is in critical condition, according to doctors.
“During five days we demanded to transfer him to the hospital for the qualified medical care, but we were assured that they will cope. In case of illness in the remand center of Simferopol, you can only get into the intensive care," the lawyer said.
Earlier, Edem Semedlyaev reported that Degermendzhi's health condition was difficult, the detainee was of IV fluids.
The lawyer wrote complaints to the head of the remand prison and to the medical unit of the facility and requested to transfer Degermendzhi to a specialized medical institution, as he urgently needed lung ventilation.
Degermendzhi suffers from bronchial asthma and has a third disability group.
Bekir Degermendzhi, father of Mustafa Degermendzhi, a defendant in the case of "February 26", was detained on November 23 in the cafe "Medobory" in Simferopol. He was arrested until January 15, 2018.
