KARASUBAZAR (QHA) -

Last week in the Karasubazar ethno complex "Ak-Kaya" the International Bekir Çoban-zade Award was presented for the tenth time, Avdet reported.

The monograph of Refat Abduzhemilev "The Chronicle of Mehmed Senai as a monument of the Crimean Tatar literature of the 17th century" received the first prize in the nomination "For the best research in the field of Crimean Tatar literary studies, folklore studies, and literary critic works".

Furthermore, the monograph of the Ukrainian Islam scholar Mikhail Yakubovich "The Philosophical View of the Crimean Khanate" won in the nomination "For the best research in the field of history, ethnography and art of the Crimean Tatar people, as well as encyclopaedic and bibliographic work".


It is known that the jury rewarded a number of competitive works of with honorary diplomas.

Reference: Bekir Çoban-zade Award was established in 2006 by the Karasubazar businessman Resul Velilyaev.

Earlier QHA reported that Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbetinov became a laureate of the Front Line Defenders-2017 Award for human rights defenders being at risk.
