SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - The Chairman of Federation of Crimean Tatar Associations in Turkey, head of Association for culture and mutual assistance of Crimean Tatars of Kocaeli town, Ibrahim Araci is ready to cover all the expenses for the restoration of the burned mosque in Saki. He said this in an interview to QHA correspondent. As reported the mosque in the town of Saki was set on fire in the Eve of Kurban Bayram. The cost for the repair works is estimated at UAH 500 thousand. The spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea announced a fundraising campaign for the restoration of the mosque; settlement account was opened at the name of the chief Imam of Sakskiy district and Evpatoria town Emirasan Umerov. The spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea and Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people are to assist in the mosque restoration as well. As reported, on the eve of the Muslim holiday Kurban Bayram, two mosques in Crimea were set on fire. On October 13, Central mosque of Saki was set on fire. On October 15, mosque in Rovnoye settlement of Krasnogvardeyskiy district was also fired.
