November 23, Bakhchisaray district court imposed a fine of 750 rubles on a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Maushev, who is accused of participating in a meeting of organization in Crimea prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation, according to the Head of the Central Election Commission of Kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Zair Smedlyaev.

“Yesterday, Mustafa Maushev was fined 750 rubles by the Bakhchisaray District Court for participation in activities of the organization prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation – the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people,” he wrote.

Previously, the RF Supreme Court rejected the appeal on the decision of the so-called Supreme Court of the Crimea of April 26, 2016 on recognition of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people an extremist organization and banning its activities, thus upholding the prohibition of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
