SIMFEROPOL/ AQMESCIT (QHA) -

Secret prosecution witness "Petrov" at the court session on the case against the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz said that during the meeting of the Crimean Tatars, February 26, 2014 "a stampede started just after the gesture of the accused Chiygoz." Lawyer of Ahtem Chiygoz Nikolai Polozov shared this information on his Facebook page.

The witness also said that in the middle of the meeting he spotted they "packages with handles of axes," but how the protesters used these tools or used them at all, the witness "Petrov" did not elaborate.

"Petrov" introduced himself as "a member of the Presidium of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people". However, he was unable to specify the exact number of the Mejlis members, as well as to clarify a number of other specific points that are known to members of the Mejlis, for example, on the composition of the last Mejlis elections system. "Petrov" also evaded answers to many questions, saying that it could "declassify his personality."

Previously QHA reported that photographs provided December 15 by the prosecution in the Chiygoz case, showed that participants of the 'pro-Russian' rally outside the Supreme Council on February 26, headed by Sergei Aksenov violated the terms of the action and showed aggression against the Crimean Tatars.
