(QHA) -

The tenth anniversary Oriental Bazar festival, that was to be held in September in Crimean city of Yalta, was postponed till the next year, general producer of the festival Seyran Mambetov announced.

One of the reasons why the festival is postponed is Parliament elections scheduled for September 14.

“We have postponed the festival till the next year. In response to recent events [Parliament elections in Crimea] we failed to prepare for the festival in time”- Mambetov said, adding that the anniversary festival should be special.

“As the festival is anniversary, we would like to make it pompous”- he stressed.

Note: The Oriental Bazar festival was first held in 2004. During the nine years, the festival was held in various towns of Crimea, including Bakchisaray, Evpatoria and Yalta. The purpose of the festival is supporting talented artists and encouraging love for folk and world music, promoting mutual understanding and relations between different countries.
