Every year 40 000 people die from alcohol in Ukraine. We can stop this terrible statistics only by decisive actions aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and limiting alcohol consumption. The benefits of restrictions, imposed on alcohol sale in stores from 11.00 p.m. to 10.00 a.m., are obvious for capital. In particular, it will contribute to the implementation of socially oriented and friendly city development concept, reduce children's drinking levels and decrease the crime situation in the capital. Kyiv residents deserve living in a peaceful, civilized, European city, said the author of the respective decision, the MP Vladislav Mikhailenko.
The decision was supported by 86 MPs.
