Crimean public figure Lenur Usmanov believes that activity of association of “Al Raid” NGOs should be banned in Crimea, he announced at press-conference June 18 in Simferopol.

“Al Raid organization engaged in destructive activity against Russia”- Usmanov said, stressing that the organization represents the Muslim Brotherhood party in Crimea.

He also passed an opinion that Al Raid “finances Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people and Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea to protect the Hizb ut Tahrir and Wahhabi representatives in Crimea”.

“They have informational influence and create a kind of negative. We stand against the extremism, stand for peace between the peoples”- Usmanov said.

“Thus we have to ban the activity of these organization, in particular the Al Raid. We should understand clear, that Crimea became a part of Russia, and there are Wahhabis in  Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea”- he added.

Note: The Society of the Muslim Brothers is a transnational Islamic organization which, founded in Egypt in 1928 by the Islamic scholar and schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna. It began as a Pan-Islamic, religious, and social movement. Its ideas had gained supporters throughout the Arab world and influenced other Islamist groups with its "model of political activism combined with Islamic charity work".

In 2012 it became the first democratically elected political party in Egypt, but it is considered a terrorist organization by the governments of Bahrain, Egypt, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
