January 31, Aksyonov made a statement in the so-called Supreme Court of the Crimea as a witness by the prosecution, the lawyer Polozov informed.
“In general, Aksenov testimony does not correspond to the evidence which had been considered by the court earlier, and does not confirm the accusations brought against Chiygoz,” the lawyer reported.
Aksenov stated that he saw Chiygoz speaking into the microphone. According to the illegal Head of Crimea, he did not know whether Chiygoz calmed people down or vice versa, because he spoke to protesters in the Crimean Tatar language.
In addition, Aksenov said that many Ukrainian nationalists were at the Mejis rally, he allegedly saw "a few dozen red-black flags". He also said that "there was some man called Sergei" who guided these nationalists and "influenced Chubarov and Chiygoz".
According to the photographs, studied during the 57th hearing of the case against the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz, it was found that the first provocation during the meeting outside the Crimean Supreme Council building on February 26, 2014 started by the pro-Russian rally headed by Sergei Aksenov.
Earlier QHA reported that at the 71st court session on the Chiygoz case, lawyer Nikolai Polozov recorded false testimony of witnesses brought by the prosecution.
