Simferopol (QHA) -

During the discussion of the religious life at the Kurultary of Crimean Tatar people, head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev paid attention to activities of so-called pseudo-religious organizations in Crimea.

According to Mustafa Jemilev and Crimean Mufti Emirali Ablayev the activities of sects in Crimea should be counteracted.

“Regional Mejlises together with the Committee of Muslims of Crimea should take active measures to clean up all the mosques in Crimea from sectarian preachers who violate the prescribed norms of the Committee of Muslims of Crimea and stand for building worldwide Islamic Caliphate. We should prevent our youth from their primitive ideology”- Jemilev noted.

According to Mufti Emirali Ablaev, such sects discredit Islam in the eyes of other people, create inter-ethnic and inter-religious tensions and split the nation from within.

“Almost every village has at least one of the sects. They do not join the activities carried out by the committee of Muslims of Crimea and carry their own ideology. It divides people and creates hostility between the Muslims. We have to clear Crimea from the sects and unite all Muslims” – the Mufti stressed.

The leaders also stressed that all the mosques and other Islamic religious institutions are to be under the jurisdiction of the Committee of Muslims of Crimea.
