Ablyalimova: Degermendzhy will not be moved to house arrest

According to Elmira Ablyalimova, wife of Ahtem Chiygoz, the court rejected a defense motion to release Mustafa Degermendzhy from prison to house arrest.

The Simferopol Supreme Court in Crimea is now considering the motion in the case of "February 26" to release Ali Asanov from prison and put him under house arrest with written undertaking not to leave the place since the defendant has four children.

Reportedly, the court has granted the defense request to add one public defender for each of three defendants: Ali Asanov, Mustafa Degermendzhy and Ahtem Chiygoz.

Currently the Simferopol Supreme Court in Crimea is hearing the "case of February 26" concerning Ahtem Chiygoz, the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, and the activists with the Crimean Tatar national movement.
