WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election led to a wave of civil protests and demonstrations, according to the US edition of Reuters news agency.

The protests started from the Gulf of California area in the city of Oakland, where the activists burned a figure of Trump, burned tires and blocked the highway with the slogans "Whose streets? Our streets!" and "He is not our president!"

At the moment, residents of many western states are protesting. Hundreds of people took to the streets of Los Angeles, Washington, Seattle, Portland and New York, shouting "To hell with Donald Trump." Lady Gaga joined them as well, having arrived on the garbage truck to the building of "Trump Tower" with a poster "Love trumps hate" ( "Love is superior to hatred").

It was reported earlier that thousands of Americans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the election results and appealed to the Migration Service of Canada and New Zealand to change the citizenship and leave the country.
