Following the search of Suleiman Kadyrov’s home in Feodisia on October 5, a criminal case was initiated against him on charges of separatism under Part 2 of Art. 280.1of the RF Criminal Code, lawyer Emil Kurbedinov posted on Facebook.
According to him, the FSB investigator did not give the lawyer a copy of the decision to institute criminal proceedings and wanted to take away from Suleiman Kadyrov the "pledge not to disclose investigation data."
“At present, after the first interrogation, Suleiman Kadyrov does not have a decision to institute proceedings against him. This fact significantly violates his right to the protection! Not everything is clear about searches of Kadyrov’s house, which was held under the auspices of some operational activities,” Kurbedinov wrote.
On September 29, 2016, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dismissed the appeal of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people against the "decision" by the so-called "Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea" of April 26, 2016 to recognize the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people an "extremist organization" and ban its activity in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Ukraine and the world community has not recognized and firmly condemned the retaliatory decision of the Russian court.
